And we will spend that one week training course camping with Igor at the paragliding site at El Penon. That's the place we visited at the end of January on the way back from our last RV trip. It's about an hour from here.
So we're likely going to be here in Valle de Bravo and area for the entire month of March.
April, we will probably take off in Igor again. We want to explore some of the state of Veracruz, but we might continue further to Oaxaca and park Igor there for the summer. We probably won't make that decision until the time comes though.
Then we begin our trip to Kyrgyzstan on May 17th. We're there until around June 21st. We're looking at going to China after that because China has opened up month long visa free access for Canadians until the end of the year. There's one particular national park in China that I really want to visit, and it's been on my list for a long time, so it's a great opportunity to take advantage of that.
We love our new hammocks!
But we didn't spend all day doing nothing!
Ever since we bought the ATV I've known that it doesn't handle perfectly. It seems easier going around corners to the right than the left. And I could visually see that the right front wheel didn't look exactly straight.
Notice the wheel looks a bit crooked.
Compared to this side which looks straight.
So I got out the tools and did a wheel alignment on the ATV! It turns out that the toe in is supposed to be set at about 3mm, and it was set at 25mm. That's a huge difference, so it should handle much better now. I haven't had a chance to test drive it yet, but I'll do so this morning before we head into town for market day.
We had received a message from an American couple who are spending a couple of months here in Valle, and we went out for dinner with them yesterday evening. Barbara and Scott are originally from Austin, Texas, but there home base is now near Plattsburgh, New York. They invited us back to their beautiful Airbnb for a glass of wine afterwards.
View from the restaurant patio.
View of el centro from the restaurant patio.
Pretty and big amaryllis flower.
We had a glass of wine or two on the balcony back at their place.
Another beautiful sunset at Valle de Bravo.
We've been coming to Valle de Bravo on and off for over 15 years, and it's unbelievable that we've never been in the central area in the evening. We walked from Barbara and Scott's place to the central plaza, and then to the place where the collectivos leave from, we were almost too late, but managed to get one from there to nearby El Arco and walked home from there.
The central plaza after dark.
