And so we combined our hiking trip with our Spanish lesson!
There are a lot of trails in the state park, and one section leads up to the paragliding take off ramp, so we headed up there because it's fun to go up and watch the paragliders take off. Plus the view up there is spectacular.
It doesn't take long to begin to get some nice views.
Heading up hill.
More uphill.
We found a little baby snake.
And a big grub!
Made it to the top!
It's such a beautiful location.
The launchpad!
Aminah, Fernando, and Ruth enjoying the view.
Ready for liftoff!
We sat and relaxed at the top for a half an hour.
Funny story, when we were in Valle de Bravo last week we were just out wandering around when we bumped into Raul, who was the guy we booked our original flight with back on January 1, 2019. We also booked with him when we went the second time a year later. So we chatted with him for a little while and we'll be seeing him again next week when we take my sister paragliding! And again in February with daughter Lindsey and family. You can't come to Valle de Bravo and not go paragliding!
Now that we can spend some extended time here, I'm going to do the one week "learn to fly" course at some point. Raul is an experienced instructor who has been doing this for 25 years and he leads the course in this area.
Flying like a bird!
Back home, we sat for an hour with Stephane and Soulhaila and discussed their onward travel plans. This is the Canadian couple from Montreal who are doing their first ever driving trip in Mexico.
Kevin, Ruth, Soulhaila, and Stephane.
End of another great day in Mexico!
