It was about 11 kms to the other side of Valle and the road to Avandaro.
This is what you see from the road.
We've never seen that much water coming down here. There's a reason the lake is full!
There is a trail that leads up the side of the river. we set off on the 20 minute hike to where there is supposed to be another waterfall.
Looking back down towards the road.
Ruth on the trail.
It's really pretty along here. There are several high end homes on the opposite side of the river.
There's the Refugio del Salto waterfall.
You can see how much mist is in the air.
We went back to town to find somewhere for lunch.
I was in the mood for enchiladas, so we found a place. The price of the food was reasonable, but they obviously make their money on drinks! 60 pesos ($4.55 CAD, $3.20 USD) for a glass of fresh made lemonade! We had one, and shared it.
But the enchiladas were good, and filling!
115 pesos ($8.70 CAD, $6.20 USD) per plate.
End of another beautiful day.
