We've got our garage area totally cleaned up. It actually looks a little empty with just our ATV in there! But at least visitors who are driving will have a decent parking spot.
And we got our new washing machine operating. Washed the curtains and got caught up on our personal laundry.
Oh, and the new mattress for the spare bedroom showed up! Amazon had said when we ordered it that it wouldn't show up until November 4th. In fact they didn't even notify us that it was being delivered... it simply showed up!
Today, we're going to work on getting Igor ready to go. We want to get going on Monday the 10th. So, still lots of time, but we know that it goes by quickly!
The lake is nice and calm so far today, but the wind normally picks up late morning.
And as I expected, the Blue Jays had a tough time with the Dodgers pitcher Yamamoto in game 6 of the World Series, losing 3-1. We had a chance to win it in the 9th, but a couple of weird plays stymied that idea, leading to a game 7 situation today.
But I'm okay with that. There hasn't been a World Series "winner take all" game 7 since 2019. It's going to be a nail biter for fans of both teams! Interesting fact, today's Blue Jays starting pitcher Max Scherzer was also the starting pitcher in the last World Series game 7... and his team went on to win the whole thing. So maybe he can do it again!
And if not... sure it will be disappointing, but the Jays have had a fantastic season and they've been enjoyable to watch. There is certainly no shame in being the loser of the World Series.
