Puerto Escondido (day 4)

Yesterday, Alfredo, Mary and Nataly came to get us with Uncle Eugenio's borrowed pickup truck. We could have just sat in the back and bounced around, but Alfredo suggested we make it more comfortable. So he went and put two of his uncle's beach chairs in the back for us. That worked well!

There was room in the front for Lindsey and Cameron, so it was only Ruth and I in the back. It was kinda fun!

Pretty comfortable chairs in the back of the truck!

We headed south on the highway between Puerto Escondido and Huatulco. They have been enlarging part of this highway to four lanes and we thought it was almost finished when we were through here four years ago. It's still "almost finished"!

We have a nice view from our beach chairs in the back of the truck!

We made it about a half hour south to Playa Agua Blanca. What a beautiful beach. I mentioned how it's odd that some beaches become very developed over time, and yet some pristine beaches such as this one end up with just a couple of small restaurant palapas.

Nataly running down to meet Ruth who had been snorkeling.

I think Cameron wants to go snorkeling too!

We had a fun day at the beach. Alfredo and Mary bought us all a plate of mixed seafood to munch on and we just sat around and talked. Mary fell asleep in a hammock and Ruth got a bit too much sun! Nataly played in the sand all day!

Today is just another beautiful relax day at Playa Zicatela.

  2. Would you two be considered "back seat" drivers? What a way to see the scenery as you ride along.
I think Cameron has a feature in becoming a Navy Seal. ~wheresweaver

  3. Ahh, that lovely white sand. We have been to Mexico a couple times (not in the RV) and I love the beaches. I think they are better than any of the beaches we experienced in Hawaii. :)
