Maintenance day

One of the things we worked into this year's Mexico RV Caravan trip is lots of down time at each location. This gives the group the ability to get their rigs washed, do whatever maintenance is requires, do some laundry, or simply relax and read a book!

So yesterday was one such day!

And Sherman needed some maintenance. Driving up to Uruapan, a couple of things happened. One, I noticed that Sherman's right rear wheel cover had disappeared. Very strange, because the valve extenders had been attached to the wheel cover. But, it was gone anyhow!

And the other thing was that the exhaust sounded a little louder. Not much, but it was noticeably different.

So first thing in the morning, I put out a mat, and crawled underneath.

 This doesn't look right!

The joint between the muffler and the catalytic converter had simply separated. Fortunately, it was an easy fix. I removed the clamp slid everything back together, and reinstalled the clamp. Took maybe 45 minutes. No problem.

Then, I took the wheel cover off the right front, drilled another hole in it for the second of the two rear valve extensions, and re-installed it. All fixed, except that Sherman is now missing both front wheel covers! He used to have a good side, but now both sides are the same!

It was a laundry day!

And a few people got their RVs washed.
Roof included!

Probably the cheapest place we have ever come across to get the rigs washed. Only 100 pesos ($5.25 USD, $7.20 CAD) for the smaller rigs, and 150 pesos ($7.90 USD, $10.80 CAD) for the larger rigs.

More maintenance going on.

But, some people had time for a game of Quarkle as well!

It was a relaxing day in Mexico!

    1. Don't say that, we were hoping to see you near the end of the trip!

We hope that we have given them the confidence to come back to Mexico on their own as well. There is so much to see here and the weather is fantastic and so are the people. :-)

    1. Actually the game is called Qwirkle and here is a link to the description of the game. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Qwirkle, you will have to copy and paste it.
