November living expenses and income

Once again, we spent a little more than we expected to, but only in certain categories.

Fuel: $686.46
Toll Roads: $50.78
Propane: $41.34
Groceries: $502.69
Booze: $170.11
Overnight: $206.10
Entertainment: $101.00
Motorhome Expenses: $19.69

Fuel was about as expected. The majority of our driving is now finished and in comparison there won't be nearly as much fuel expense over the next three months. Might be a little more in the toll road category, but we still plan on taking quite a few back roads to get around Mexico. Groceries were a little high, but we stocked up on a bunch of stuff in Laredo, so once again the grocery bill for the next three months should be low. Well, until our son Alex shows up just before Christmas!

Booze expense is a little high, but we stocked up on wine in Laredo.

Our overnight expense is not bad, but we really aim to have it around $100 a month while in Mexico. The Laredo State Park was expensive at $23 a night, and so was the San Miguel campground at $20.50 a night. Between those two items was $107 for 5 nights!

Entertainment was higher than normal, caused by Elvis Presley. The more we think about it, the more Graceland was NOT worth $30 a person. Having said that, it was still interesting to see.

On the income side, we made $77.40 from our adsense advertising. Not bad, I think we were over $80 last month though. The ads that you see on our site are all prescreened by Google and contain no viruses or other harmful material. So if you see something that interests you, you can be assured that site is safe to visit! Then you can just hit your brower's "back" button to return here.

  1. Thanks for posting your expenses. It's always interesting to see how much this lifestyle costs - it's not cheap, but it is a lot of fun. It was good to see someone else with high liquor costs! Haven't been to Graceland, but that price sounds too high.

Glad you made it to Mexico! I've been behind on my blog reading lately and am trying to catch up today.

  2. We try hard to keep the expenses down, but still want to enjoy ourselves. We do find that living this lifestyle is much cheaper for us than living in a sticks and bricks house.

Yep, Graceland was way to expensive!
