It's quite the schedule we've got for the next two months!

I'm pretty good at keeping track of our schedule in my head, just knowing what's booked and what's not. But I actually had to make a list this time to make sure I don't forget to book something.

Yesterday, I booked our return flights from Tirana, and managed to figure out how to fly direct into Southampton!

We're going to be on 8 different airplanes in the next two months or so!

Edinburgh to Bologna to Tirana.

Tirana to Rome to Amsterdam to Southampton

London Gatwick to Barcelona to Halifax

Halifax to Ottawa

Crazy. Essentially, 8 flights to get to 4 destinations.

I booked our return from Albania yesterday. The discount airlines fly direct from Albania into Luton or Stansted airports which are quite far north of London, and would require other expensive, time consuming, or complicated land routes in order to get to the cruise ship port in Southampton.

Instead, we are flying with KLM from Tirana to Rome to Amsterdam to Southampton. All three flights are booked as connecting, so if one of them screws up, at least we'll be looked after. And, we have about 36 hours of spare time to get to Southampton in time for our cruise ship departure in case something does go wrong.

June 25 Castle stay - booked

June 26 Airbnb - booked

June 27 to July 5 House sit - booked

July 5 ? Possible additional night at house sit

July 7 Drop off car rental in Edinburgh and fly to Bologna - booked

July 7 Bologna overnight - booked

July 8 Fly Bologna to Tirana - booked

July 8 Overnight at Tirana airport hotel - booked

July 9 Car rental - booked. Drive to Berat.

July 9 to July 29? NOT BOOKED

July 29 Fly to Southampton - booked

July 29 and 30 Stay in Southampton - NOT BOOKED

July 31 Cruise departs Southampton 4pm.

Aug 16 Cruise arrives Southampton 7am

Aug 16 Bus to London - booked

Aug 16 and 17 Stay at Ruth's aunt

Aug 18 Fly London to Barcelona - booked

Aug 18 overnight in Barcelona airport

Aug 19 Fly Barcelona to Halifax - booked

Aug 19 to 28 Stay with Lindsey

Aug 28 Fly Halifax to Ottawa - NOT BOOKED

Across the road there is a museum that is currently closed.

It's a good short walk for the dogs.

Later in the day, Ruth and I took Loki to the nearby woods walk.

Today is supposed to be a beautiful day with a high of 25C (77F) so we are going to the town of Stonehaven on the coast to find a place for fish and chips lunch!
