But our daughter Lindsey and her family have chickens, and so we've kind of seen what's involved... and it's not that difficult!
And it turns out that the quails are even less difficult than the chickens.
Quails.
Essentially, they just require keeping an eye on food and water.
And collecting eggs as well!
These are the babies... they have grown quickly just in the week we've been here.
Three chickens in one box!
A pretty chicken.
The chickens of course also have to be fed and watered, and fresh eggs being collected each day. And we also have to make sure they are in their roosting area overnight, and let out first thing in the morning.
We took the dogs for a walk along the riverside yesterday afternoon.
Ducks.
A deer on the opposite side.
Benji and Loki sure had fun together.
Helen and Tony are taking off this morning, continuing on their motorhome trip. Great seeing them again, and we might even see them next week at our next housesit if the timing works out right.
