We've had a lot of rain here since we arrived, but some parts of the neighboring state of Veracruz have been hit really hard. Reports say they got 21" of rain between October 6-9 and there have been landslides and flooding.
The bright side is that our lake is filling up quickly and it might even reach capacity by the end of the month. It hasn't been this full for over four years.
But we have a minor problem with Igor. The land where we parked him was quite soft in spots. It was dry at the time, but with all the rain he has sunk! Even the entranceway was so soggy and muddy that our host Chago built us a little patio so that we can get in and out without making a mess.
We have a little patio to get in and out of Igor,
The rear wheels have sunk!
The front one had a board under it and seems fine.
We weren't planning on going anywhere with Igor until early November anyhow, but even then we might have to get some help to get us out of there. It'll probably take at least a week of no rain for things to dry up enough to move him. And if we don't get going on time, it doesn't matter... because we have no schedule!

Despite the clouds moving in after lunch, there were still a lot of people out playing on the water.
Sunday is our favorite day of the week here in Valle de Bravo because it's market day! So we are heading into town this morning to get some delicious market food for lunch, and pick up our weekly supply of fruits and veggies!
