Friends and family photos

We've been doing some more visiting with friends and family during out last week here in Canada.

But first, a little update on my medical problem...

Every day seems to get better overall, but there are still moments where it comes and goes in waves. Certainly functional though, and I am back to my regular schedule with regards to working out and exercise. In fact, exercise makes me feel better (as it generally does anyhow!) because it gets the blood flowing. Getting a decent nights sleep is the major issue now, although that seems to be improving as well.

One day at a time.

On Wednesday, we got together with my long time friend Tyler, and his girlfriend Sheron.

Trees are well into their autumn colors, but they aren't as vivid compared to past years.

We had dinner plans with my family to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. Unfortunately our daughter Lindsey and her family couldn't be there, but it was still a nice gathering as we don't have the opportunity to get together with everyone very often.

We went to the International Restaurant at Algonquin College in Ottawa. It's a teaching restaurant where the students make the meals and serve dinner. Approximately $40 CAD ($29 USD) per person for a 3 course dinner without drinks.

Ruth had something gluten free that the chef prepared special for her.

We have no idea what it was!

Great to see everyone.

We are getting together with Alex and CJ at a sports bar with some of their friends this afternoon to watch the Blue Jays vs Yankees game. Go Blue Jays!
