Wandering around Sendenhorst

Just a quiet day yesterday. We said goodbye to friends Dave and Bonnie, and hope to see them at some point when we return this winter.

We only drove about 18 kms (11 miles) to our next location at the town of Sendenhorst (pop 13,000). We weren't there for any particular reason, but they had a free motorhome overnight parking area with dump station so it was convenient.

We got there and it was empty...

Max, parked up at GPS 51.842946, 7.818397

Yet another different style of electric/water/dump station.

We were due for some exercise and went for a 10 km (6.2 mile) walk around town. Not a lot to see, just a typical German town...

Some interesting old buildings.

This big picture of the town was neat.

Made up of all kinds of tiny pictures.

We came across a field of beautiful wildflowers.

This building reminded me of a small version of Canada's parliament buildings in Ottawa.

Neat brickwork on this old house.

A closer view.

Happy Birthday to my mother! We'll try and give you a call later on today!

Today is laundry day and we are sitting in Munster right downtown with Max parked outside the laundromat. Prices are lower before 10:00am so we got here early!

Nice price drop on this 32" Smart TV.

And in Canada...

    1. I loved the mosaic too! It is really neat how they did it. I think we have seen one done like this before but I can't remember where it was.

  2. What a beautiful place. Love the architecture, the huge mural of photos, and most especially the wildflower meadow! That may be the prettiest diversity of wildflowers I have ever seen. Wish it was my yard!

    1. For a small town it really had lots going for it. The architecture over here in Europe is really fantastic. That mural/mosaic was beautiful, I loved the way they created it.

We agree with you about the diversity of wildflowers in that field, there were just so many different ones and the colours very wonderful, it was so beautiful to see.
