And we're taking grandson Cameron (14) with us for a week with Grandma and Grandpa.
It cost $322 CAD ($234 USD) per person for the two hour flight. Which is a bit ridiculous, but there is no competition in Canada, so they can pretty much charge what they want. Also, Ottawa gets the short end of the stick and there are very few direct flights from Halifax. We could have saved $10 per person, but then we would have had to connect in Toronto which makes no sense at all.
Halifax to Ottawa.
We are fortunate to be house sitting at the same place we have house sat for the last four years or so. We think this is our fourth or fifth time looking after the two cats Syd and Enke. The homeowners like to go on vacation in September which totally coincides with our like to be in Ottawa in September.
We are there until October 8th, which is a little longer than we wanted to be there, however the house sit is so convenient and it's a beautiful home and they give us a car to drive. It's really not a hardship to stay that long!
Yesterday, Ruth went with Lindsey, Sadie, and Julian (a two year old that Lindsey is babysitting) to a nearby swimming hole...
Sadie, ready to jump in.
There she goes!
Lindsey and Julian.
Sadie, jumping off the bridge.
So, next post coming to you from Ottawa!
