This morning, I am going to change the solar charge controller to the one that came with the last kit we ordered. I think it's a better quality one, and the one that's currently installed doesn't seem to want to kick down to float voltage when the batteries are fully charged.
Then this afternoon we're going to head into town to pick up a five month supply of my cholesterol and blood pressure medication. So inexpensive here, so better to be well stocked up so that I don't have to buy any in the more expensive countries.
Igor will be waiting for us here.
So, what is the plan for the next month...?
Sunday, we will take the 11:00am direct bus to the western part of Mexico City and make our way to our hotel which is only 5 kms (3 miles) from the airport.
Monday morning, we'll scarf down the included breakfast right at 7:00am when the restaurant opens, then take an Uber to the airport for our 10:25am flight.
We're flying with AeroMexico, which is a good airline.
"Aeromexico was recognized as the world's most on-time airline in 2024 with an on-time performance rate of 86.70%. This means that nearly 87% of Aeromexico flights arrived within 15 minutes of their scheduled arrival time."
The aircraft is a 787 Dreamliner with 11" seatback entertainment systems, and included bar service.
It's a ten and a half hour flight, arriving in Madrid at 5:00am local time.
MEX to MAD.
We can't get into our accommodation until noon, so we've got some time to waste and we'll have our carry on bags with us.
Then we've got three nights in that accommodation before we move to another location in Madrid for another two nights. So, a total of five nights in Madrid. Then we do our six night volunteer language immersion program where we help Spanish professionals with English conversation. It's located at a resort about two hours west of Madrid, and they supply return transportation, accommodation, and all meals.
We pick up our car rental on the 17th, and head to the northwest part of Spain where we have an airbnb booked for two weeks. It looks like a great area to be based out of, with lots of hiking and day trip possibilities.
Then on June 4th, we fly to Scotland.
Should be a fun month ahead of us!

Nice price drop on the popular LEVOIT Cordless Vac.
And in Canada...
There's a $100 off coupon showing on this Electric Scooter.
Sounds like a great plan - I look forward to following along. Bon voyage!
