Tickets cost 170 pesos ($13.40 CAD, $9.75 USD) per person.
Veracruz Aquarium.
The first section has a few birds.
This is the same as the toucan we saw in the wild the other day!
Lots of different types of fish.
Funny looking thing!
Ruth, with a sawfish.
Definitely a weird creature.
Lionfish.
I took a video of some jellyfish. How can this even be alive? You can see right through it!
Another strange creature.
That was a fun way to spend a couple of hours for a change. We walked back to the hotel room and relaxed in the air conditioning for the rest of the afternoon. Watched the Blue Jays game, and had a nap. Around 8:00pm at night, we walked the malecon all the way to downtown.
Veracruz at night.
Because it's so hot during the day, the malecon and the parks come alive after the sun goes down. Children playing, people running or rollerblading, playing volleyball on the beach.
Institute of Oceanography and Lighthouse.
Lots of people out and about.
I took a video of some of the music and dancing going on at the central Plaza.
Turn up your volume...
We had a fun day and enjoyed our short visit to Verzcruz city. But it's too hot for us! We are headed up to the mountains on the backroads towards Oaxaca City.
