Moving on today

We haven't been having the greatest weather... mostly overcast ever since we arrived here on Thursday. So it's nice to wake up to some sunshine and blue sky this morning!

Yesterday turned out to be the "relax" day that we had needed. They were calling for rain, and we did get a few showers throughout the day.

So it was a great day to get our taxes finished up. They are now filed, but of course I won't pay the bill until it's due at the end of the month. Got the taxes finished up, watched the Blue Jays win (finally!) and did some stock market research. Just a nice relaxing day.

Waking up to a clearer sky, we couldn't see this mountain until now!

Zoomed in on the mountain.

So, this morning we are headed into the big city (pop 550,000) of Xalapa. Xalapa is the capital of the state of Veracruz. We've never been there, so we're looking forward to wandering around.

Unfortunately there are no campgrounds available in or near the city. But there is a Walmart where other campers have stayed, and it actually gets good reviews. There are a lot of services in the area, and there's a laundromat nearby as well. So I guess we're going to be doing some Walmart camping for a night or two in order to visit Xalapa!

Our buddy, with Igor.

Oh, and I've confirmed five months of storage for Igor just outside of Oaxaca City. So we are definitely headed that way after Veracruz City. We'll drop him off around the end of the month and take the bus back to Valle de Bravo.

Gotta get going... we want to be in Xalapa early enough to do laundry. Plus, while it's nice right now, they are calling for rain again later this afternoon. At least it's not baking hot. High of 22C (72F) today.
