Well this is going to be a fun adventure!

They were calling for rain in the afternoon, so I made a plan to just hang around Igor and get started on our income taxes that are due on April 30th. We have to pay every year, but we don't mind giving it to them because they spend it so wisely!

And I could watch the baseball game while doing the taxes! Ruth took off with our host family here at the campground to a local municipal park.

The bathroom here is located up a little path that runs through their small coffee plantation...

We had breakfast with the family at about 9:30am, but then sat around chatting for a couple of hours! Really interesting family, and they are so easy to talk to.

Some of our regular readers will remember our friends Bjorn and Freya from Belgium. We originally met them in Bosnia in October 2021, and then again in Belgium in November 2022. Then with our grandson, again in Belgium in August 2023. And, it was Bjorn and Freya who drove Igor down to the Mexico border for us!

Anyhow, a couple of months ago I had told them about our upcoming trip to Kyrgyzstan and jokingly suggested they should join us. He was intrigued by the idea, and kept it in mind. Well it turns out they are! Unfortunately the company we are renting our 4x4 camping van from is sold out, but they were able to get a different 4x4 with a rooftop tent. 

So we have our van for a full month from May 20th to June 19th and they are going to join us and we are going to travel togethers for the last two weeks! This is going to be a fun adventure!
