Packing for our trip

We always travel light, but I think this time will be especially light! We each have a Chester carry on size bag, so we can only take so much with us in the first place.

We will be bringing all of our Tilley travel clothes... including our fresh supply of Tilley socks and underwear. Ruth will also be bringing a pair of jeans, but I am sticking with my Tilley travel pants and a pair of Columbia hiking pants.

Ruth is really happy with her new Tilley skirt and Tilley Airflow top. Of course both items have the trademark Tilley hidden pocket for storing a bit of spare cash for emergencies.

Ruth, in her new outfit.

Showing off the Tilley hidden pocket.

I still have my original Tilley pants that I got back in 2014. I've worn them a lot and they are still in perfect condition. So I ordered a couple of the Everything Functional Men's T-shirts as well as a new pair of shorts. I love the material that the t-shirts are made of.

Yes, I am bringing a pair of shorts with me, although I don't know how much shorts weather we will be in this winter!

With my original Tilley pants and a new t-shirt.

We had taken pics of us in our new Tilley underwear, but unfortunately they didn't turn out.
Sorry!

Friday morning we will be packed up and ready to go, because we are headed up to visit our son for a couple of nights, and then we will be headed directly to the airport from there.

And in Canada...

  7. You two looks like you hopped out of the Magazine, very elegant while travelling! I hope you can pick a country where you can wear the shorts during the winter. Good luck everywhere you go.

    1. Lol, thank you Angi! We aren't quite model material but we had fun modelling our new clothes. We are hoping that we will have a chance to wear the shorts in either Turkey or Cypress.

      Danke! :-)

  8. Love your travel clothes, and the undies look comfy! As I catch up on a couple of weeks of your blog, I realized that you are flying to London this very day. I can't wait to follow along on your adventure! Hope everything goes as smoothly as possible and that you both stay healthy. I know you know that cases are on the rise again in Europe, but I trust you two to take all necessary precautions. Wish the current administration in the US would do the same.... (hope this is not too political!)

    1. Thank you Emily! Hopefully now that we are going straight to Turkey we will have a chance to wear some of these clothes, sooner than expected. The undies are super comfy, probably some of the best that I have ever had and the nice thing about them is that you can hand wash them at night and they are totally dry the next morning. I put them to the test last night. :-)

Yes, cases are definitely on the rise so we are planning to spend as much time as we can in the small cities, towns and rural areas that haven't been hard hit, just like what we did when we came up through the States this summer. We will also be following all the local rules and regulations and taking all the precautions that we can to stay safe. :-)
