Making plans for next week

Yesterday morning before it got too hot we walked up to the Castle Park Hotel. It's only 3 kms away, but the last half is uphill and we were quite sweaty by the time we got there!

On the way up, we noticed that the circus is in town!

We wondered what an Albanian circus is like... maybe we will find out!

The reason we went to the hotel was to talk to Alma. She and her husband run both the hotel and a tour company, and she knows the area so well. This is who organized our rafting tour of the Osumi Canyon back in April 2021, as well as a day trip we did into the mountains at a later date.

They do quite a few different activities in the area.

So we sat with Alma for a while and figured out that we want to do the Osumi Canyon River Trekking. The water level is too low for rafting during the summer, so they lead trekking through the canyon. You do get wet, and there is some swimming involved, but it will be so hot out that getting wet will feel just fine!

We won't be doing it until next week though. We might also do a full day up Tomorr Mountain... we'll see.

Doing some more research on our upcoming cruise, and just for fun we decided to watch the very first episode of the popular tv series "The Love Boat". It was pretty funny, with guest stars Suzanne Somers (Three's Company), Bonnie Franklin (One Day at a Time), Meredith Baxter (Family Ties), and Jimmy Walker (Good Times).  In fact, we also watched the second episode!

Episode two had John Ritter (Three's Company), Sherman Hemsley (All in the Family, The Jeffersons), Lawanda Page (Sanford & Son), and Jaclyn Smith (Charlies Angels).

Funny though, the actual ship that was used in the series is so tiny compared to the cruise ships of today!

This morning, we are off to the dentist for the first part of my appointments.
