Old television shows

We really enjoy our account with http://www.zip.ca/

We've been renting all of our DVD material through zip.ca for exactly one year now. We're on the $12.00 per month plan, and have rented 93 DVD's during that time period. And that includes putting our account on hold during the month of March. So, we've rented an average of 2 DVD's per week for $12.00 per month. I think that's a great deal!

We do rent a lot of movies, but we really enjoy watching the old TV series. Hawaii Five-O ran for twelve seasons, starting in 1968. We're up to season 2, disc 4 of that series. Book him, Danno...murder one!

And tonight we're watching All in the Family, season 2 disc 1. I think Archie is hilarious during the first two or three seasons. After that, the show became a little too serious.

Another funny one is Sanford and Son. Totally classic. That, and Threes Company.

And we just signed up for Hill Street Blues, a cop show from the early eighties, and Kojak, the bald Telly Savalas character from the 70's.

If any Canadians want to recieve a free month, just send me a note and I'll give you a code that you can signup online. We think it's a really good deal!

  1. We have been doing Netflix... and Steve has been going though past years of Soap, and I have been going through old episodes of Here Comes the Brides. What fun! Better than the junk on tv nowadays----

  2. Zip.ca is the canadian version of Netflix. We love it. I don't even know what is on the TV these days. We don't really get TV here. There is one channel here and its the government funded one and the only thing we watch on it is Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy. It is really great watching all those old shows.
