It was another beautiful day!

We hopped back on the bikes Saturday morning, and Martin came along with us.

This time, we headed north up along the bay to an area where they have built a huge five star resort complex. There's still a lot of construction going on in the area, and there are rumors of a cruise ship port that is going to be built up there as well.

It was another beautiful day!

Karataş Beach.

Scenery along the way.

Karataş Beach.

Our guess is that the new cruise ship port is going to be located somewhere around here.

Rocky beach.

We had a nice dinner with Aly and Martin, then another fun evening of euchre, where the girls beat the guys three games in a row!

This morning, we are off to the weekly market to buy our fruits and veggies, then saying goodbye to Aly and Martin and heading south and east towards Antalya. No idea where we will be stopping for tonight.

  1. It will never be the same once the cruise ships come. There will be all kinds of businesses and crappy tat to keep them entertained.

    1. We unfortunately have to agree with you, I think that is one of the reasons that we didn't like Kuşadası so much, although Fethiye already as a fair bit of touristy stuff in place even without the cruise ships.

  2. Such a beautiful area -- hate so much that it will likely soon be spoiled by cruise ships and all the riff-raff they bring. Sad!

    1. It is a really pretty area and yeah, we feel the same way about it being spoiled by a cruise ship port. They are only in the study/planning stages so it is possible it might not happen or it might not even be built in this area, I guess time will tell.
