It’s only about half a km up the road, and I could easily see the hydro crews were still working, I checked with the girl at the counter, and she told me the power wouldn’t be working until Friday morning. We left the El Tajin ruins at about 9:00am. We headed for the Esmeralda Coast, which is a beachfront roadway between Poza Rica and Veracruz. It’s a popular area for Mexicans to come and vacation

We had set the alarm for 6:20am in order to be ready to head across the border at 7:30am. Traffic going through Brownsville was fairly heavy, but by the time we reached the bridge and border it was pretty quiet. We paid the $7.00 US ($8.40 CAN)(for motorhomes) bridge toll and crossed in to Mexico.
