Catching up on the last two days...

Long time friend Jeff came over bright and early at 8:00am Sunday morning to give us a ride to Ruth's brother's place in Stittsville, where he and his girlfriend Brenda live on the western outskirts of Ottawa.

We're going to hang out with them for two nights and then he'll give us a ride to Ottawa airport early Tuesday morning for our flight to Halifax.

We'll back up to Saturday, and our last walk around the neighborhood...

Beautiful colors are out!

Beautiful tree.

This street is only just starting to change color.

My mom and my sister came over for lunch...

Ussie, with Mom, Elaine, Ruth, and Kevin.

Then yesterday, we got a change of scenery walking from Ruth's brother's house...

Ruth, at the nearby marsh.

Zoomed in on the trees in the distance.

Pond.

Another colorful tree.

Ruth was feeding chippy the chipmunk on the back deck.

Cheeks full.

Yet another gorgeous day today. Probably will be an unusual high temperature of 25C (77F). The normal high for this time of year in this area is 15C (60F).

We're going to walk over to the CAA office this morning to get my International Drivers Permit. It's just a money grab now, based on International laws written in the 1940's and most countries no longer require it, however we have read that if we want to rent a car or a scooter at some point this winter, it would be wise to have one.

  1. I got the permit for our trip to Spain. I got it for two years so we can use it again in the Spring. The leaves are really something. Makes me want to go up to the Ozarks.

    1. The permit limit must be different for you because in Canada it is only good for one year.

We love the fall colours, they are always so pretty. Unfortunately they seem to be pretty much over here in Nova Scotia.
