Out for dinner in rural Spain

Just a relaxing day yesterday. Of course we did get out for a short walk in the afternoon just to stretch our legs.

Along the way, we stopped in at the local pub to check and see if we could go for dinner. Turns out they close at 6:00pm, so we went for a very early dinner!

Spent a lot of time on the internet doing research for our travels over the next three months. Such as where to get the cheapest ferry tickets, and making sure we have the right documents, and figuring out how to legally leave Max parked at the airport while we exit Morocco to fly to Mauritania. Gotta make sure we have all our ducks in a row. Lots of logistics involved, but we're excited about the next three months!

It was another beautiful day... high around 22C (72F).

View of Casas Nuevas.

Looking down at the motorhome aire where Max is parked.

We walked back over to the restaurant at about quarter to five.

Place setting.

I had a local beer from Granada (we will be visiting Granada in a couple of days) and Ruth had a glass of homemade wine.

For food, we just had a variety of different plates. Just basic rural Spanish fare.

Cured ham and sausage with local roasted almonds.
There was a basket of bread as well.

Potato pie.

Some kind of sweet and sour pork dish.

It was nothing special, but we left with full stomachs. Total cost of €20 ($28.75 CAD, $21.30 USD) for the two of us.

We're moving on today, heading towards Granada.

    1. The food may have looked great but with all honesty it was only ok. I could have done a better job myself but it was a nice change not to have to cook and a nice way to support the local businesses.
