A hot day in Hong Kong

We're not really here at the right time of year, but it was what coincided with our time in this part of the world, so here we are. The right time of year for Hong Kong would have been December through February.

July is too hot, so the hiking opportunities in the hills surrounding Hong Kong will have to wait for another visit. In the meantime, there's lots to see in the city in between breaks with air conditioning!

We walked through a city park on our way to the waterfront...

The banyan trees are amazing.

You don't see them spread their wings very often.

We ducked into a few shopping malls to cool off.

It was warm, but at least we had some blue skies and sunshine.

I'm surprised there wasn't more activity on the water.

Seems like we didn't do too much, yet somehow we still put on 20,000 steps just wandering!
