July is too hot, so the hiking opportunities in the hills surrounding Hong Kong will have to wait for another visit. In the meantime, there's lots to see in the city in between breaks with air conditioning!
We walked through a city park on our way to the waterfront...
The banyan trees are amazing.
Flamingos are such odd birds.
You don't see them spread their wings very often.
We ducked into a few shopping malls to cool off.
Fancy mall with all the high end brand names.
It was warm, but at least we had some blue skies and sunshine.
I'm surprised there wasn't more activity on the water.
Still a few of the old Chinese junk ships around.
Lots of tall buildings.
Not much traffic on a Sunday.
We walked by the piers.
A small cruise ship was in port.
Ruth and the Hong Kong skyline.
Lots of tall buildings.
Seems like we didn't do too much, yet somehow we still put on 20,000 steps just wandering!

Time to stock up on Energizer AA Batteries.
And in Canada...
