We all hopped in Igor just because it's more convenient. It's not always easy to find parking in town for Igor, but otherwise we'd have to get two collectivos that don't already have any passengers.
The first time Ruth and I were up there was in December 2010.
Cameron, fishing off the dock at 7:30am.
He has yet to catch anything, so he's a little frustrated. But he's persistent and patient... two attributes you really need to have if you're going to be a fisherman!
Rest stop with a view along the way.
Cameron (14).
He'll be 15 in April and he's already a couple of inches taller than Lindsey!
Lindsey, Sadie, Cameron, Justin.
Chago, Ruth, and our dog Whiskey at the same spot in December 2010.
Cameron.
Zoomed in on our neighborhood.
Our house is the one in the center with the dock.
Sadie (12).
We brought them to the cave.
We took them to our favorite quesadilla place for lunch. Unfortunately they were already sold out of half of the possible food options, but we made do and everything was delicious anyhow. Besides, today is market day, which means... tacos! They are really enjoying our local Mexican foods.
Back at home in the afternoon, our friends Fernando and Yessie and their six year old daughter Aminah came over to meet the family. We sat and talked for a couple of hours, so that was fun. And we're glad they got to meet Fernando since he is off on a business trip to Bangladesh on Monday.
The sky was on fire at sunset.
