It's a bit frustrating...

When we were in Mexico in April, I tried to buy new shock absorbers for Igor. I'm pretty fussy about what brand of shocks I wanted though. There is a Bilstein model that's specifically made for the Econoline E350 chassis, and that's what I wanted.

But I couldn't seem to find them available in Mexico. I even tried to order them in from Amazon U.S., but there was some kind of shipping problem that wouldn't allow them across the border.

So eventually, I found them at a decent price through an online auto parts store in Canada and had them shipped here to our housesit just outside of Ottawa. They were a bit pricey, at approximately $185 CAD ($135 USD) each, tax included. $740 CAD ($540 USD) in total for the four of them.

The frustrating story here is that these shocks are actually assembled at a Bilstein plant in Mexico! And yet I couldn't find them available for sale anywhere in that country. I even tried contacting the manufacturer, but didn't get any response back.

The four new shocks were sitting here waiting for us.

These shocks were already in Mexico at one point in time!

So they've been shipped from Mexico to Canada, and now we have to bring them all the way back to Mexico with us!

Yesterday was a nice day, and grandson Cameron was spending some time with a friend of his. We invited them to go play mini putt with us, as well as my nephew Marshal who was going to be dropping off a box of photos for Ruth.

Cameron, on the course.

It's an interesting mini putt course.

My turn!

We had a lot of fun. They have two different courses, and if you pay for one you get to play the second one for free. So we played 36 holes of mini putt!

This is Enke the cat.

He's such a fluffy boy!

Meeting up with some blog readers this morning for coffee, and then over to visit my mom after lunch.

Good deal on this Ninja Ceramic Cookware Set. Still expensive, but top quality. Ninja makes good stuff.

And in Canada...

Nice deal on this ASUS 17" Laptop.
