We arrived and it was busy with crowds of people picnicking!

We tried to get an early start. We went to the laundry in Pozoblanco first thing. In fact, we were there by 8:30am, and we found a parking spot right out front. It was kind of odd because it was on a residential street. I should have taken a photo. Only two washing machines, and one dryer. Everything really clean. Half an hour to wash, and the machine automatically supplies the soap. Then twenty minutes to dry.

From there, we went to the Mercadona grocery store.

The stores had been closed both Thursday and Friday, so we were expecting it to be busy. And it was! What a zoo! But, they had every cashier open, and we got a decent shop done.

Stocked up the booze cupboard as well. 12 cans of beer, one cheap bottle of scotch, one cheap bottle of Amaretto, and six bottles of wine. Total €25 ($37 CAD, $27.50 USD). I'm a little out of touch, but I'm guessing that would be $140 CAD in Canada.

Despite getting an early start, it was almost noon by the time we got out of there!

On the road north.

Yes, it was another beautiful blue sky day.

We're having a great stretch of beautiful weather! Hopefully we don't pay for it when we get to Ireland.

Lots of odd rock formations.

Some kind of old building.

More weird rocks.

Going through the town of Almadén, the main road is a little tight!

The Guadiana River.

I had read of a recreation area on the Guadiana River, and sure enough it's a pretty spot. But it's also a popular spot! We arrived and it was busy with crowds of people picnicking. We did find a spot for Max. There were lots of better spots by the river, but they were all being used by the day use people. Fortunately, we were the only motorhome in sight. Which is kind of odd since it's such a nice spot, but it is kind of in the middle of nowhere.

Lots of music, and people having a good time. Like in Mexico, the people stay right until dark. But then it cleared out quickly, and we had a very quiet night. This morning, we will move to a better spot before the crowds arrive, which I expect they will. We will probably stay a couple of nights more. It should be very quiet on Monday.
