And the weekend is not really over yet because today is a sort of a holiday. Actually, the holiday (Canada Day) is tomorrow...July 1st. But because it takes place on a Tuesday, many people across the country will have taken today off work as well as tomorrow.
Friday and Saturday the weather was quite nice. In fact probably the nicest we've had this month! Highs around 24C (75F), sunny, and very little wind. The water level is up near it's peak and there were a few people taking boats on the water for the first time this season.
But yesterday was chilly, overcast, and windy. And we had lots of rain overnight and today isn't looking any better.
Friday afternoon and evening Ruth sat inside our entrance booth selling and checking for vehicle passes.
Ruth, at our entrance booth.
In between vehicles coming in, she kept busy planting some more flowers.
A few minor problems. We had one hot water heater go on the fritz. Strange because it was one of the newer ones that was less than three years old. Seemed to be the upper element that was gone because there was power at the element, but there wasn't any heat. I didn't have an element in stock, nor the special socket to change it. But I had a brand new hot water tank in stock!
Strange the things we have and the things that we don't!
Anyhow, I'll buy a new element for the old tank and the proper tool to change it and then I'll still have a spare.
Ruth's peonies are blooming.
Stormy looking, but it never rained hard.

Definitely handy having two helpers. Especially two good helpers. Remember last year, we only had one employee and he wasn't really the top of the heap. These two guys are pretty good at finding things to do even when it looks like they're pretty caught up on things. There is always something that needs to be done, even if you have to go look for it.
Strangely, the sun is making an appearance...time to get out and see what needs to be done!
