Ross Farm Museum

We left our spot at Tracey’s house at around 9:30am yesterday. We stopped at the gas station and put $140 worth of fuel into Sherman, and that gave us about half a tank! But it should be enough to last us for the month because we’re not going very far.

Customer service extremes

Last September we wrote about the exceptional customer service that we received from the Lagostina Cookware Company. Yesterday, we had another exceptional experience.

Puttering around

We were going to be heading out on our next Nova Scotia exploration this morning, but we’ve decided to put it off for one more day.

Most of our Canadian readers will know that today is election day in Canada. Will anything change? Well all we can do is hope, I suppose.

April expenses and Adsense income

 Not a bad month, but once again the “ miscellaneous” expenses were higher than we like them to be. On the website income side of things,  our Adsense revenue once again had a pretty good month.

A nice spring day

We fired up Sherman yesterday morning and drove the 6 kms (4 miles) or so over to Tracey’s place. We’re parked up on her front lawn overlooking the street, but it’s not a busy street and there’s a farm across the road, so it’s a decent spot for a few days.

A heat wave!

Yesterday morning we picked up Lindsey and Cameron and drove up to Gaspereau Mountain, about 20 minutes from town. The village of Gaspereau is a nice little place situated in a valley and it will make for some nice photos when things get green in a couple of weeks. But yesterday was cloudy and rainy.

Warming up, but still raining

Went for a walk yesterday morning in the farmers field across the road, then we went over to Lindsey and Justins.

A rainy day

Well they were calling for rain yesterday, and they weren’t wrong. We did manage to get out for a walk in the morning though before the rain started.

Back in Kentville area

The drive from Digby yesterday morning was uneventful. We stopped at the Greenwood Mall again and used their free dump station, and filled up again at the propane place in Coldbrook because we were driving right by it anyhow. We used 35.2 litres (9.3 gallons, $39.48) of propane trying to stay warm in the wind at Brier Island!
