Road Trip!

Well, we're off.

Up early this morning and I'm taking Lindsey and the kids to the Ottawa airport for their flight back to Nova Scotia. They'll be happy to see hubby and Dad Justin again after a week away!

While I'm gone to the airport, Ruth will be getting all of our things ready to be put in the little blue car. We'll get things packed up, and then we're off! First stop, North Bay, Ontario!

2,840 kms (1,760 miles).

The route is pretty much written in stone, but three or four of the stops are approximate. We have somewhere to stay in North Bay, Sault Ste. Marie, and Moose Jaw, but the other stops will be depending on how our driving is going. Maybe we'll do some longer days and get there sooner! If you're along the route and you'd like to offer us a night of hospitality, we would probably take you up on it. We might even bring maple syrup! Or wine!

Anyhow, gotta go...see you in North Bay!

    1. You need to try poutine then, it is french fries, gravy and cheese curds! It doesn't sound that good but it is delicious and very fattening.

  4. A good route allowing for cheaper fuel prices in the US.

    1. Most definitely and it is actually a more direct route, than going up over the top of Lake Superior.

  5. May I come visit in Saskatchewan at the park you're working? I live in Phoenix, AZ. Only been to Vancouver, BC and a tiny area across the bridge from Niagara Falls. Always wanted to tour Canada...road trip across. I'm also following a diary farmer's wife's blog who lives in New Brunswick. their area is flooding...they live near St John's river. Can't wait for my virtual trip with you across Canada and part of US :-)

    1. You are most welcome to come and visit us Rita, we would be honoured to host you in our home at the campground.

Yes, New Brunswick is having a lot of flooding and we hope that it doesn't get any worse for them.
