It's a good thing I'm not paid by the hour

It takes me forever to do a project like this. Don't get me wrong... I like it this way. Putter around for a couple of hours, then come back to it again tomorrow. Of course that's the way it's supposed to be when you're retired!

But if I was paid by the hour, they would have fired me by now.

Yesterday was a prime example. I was putting the cabinet back together, and was confident that all of my water connections were tight and wouldn't leak. But I decided I had better test it before I went any further, and sure enough, there was a leak coming from the base of the faucet. I had to take the sink out again and remove the faucet to fix it. Of course there's no room under there to work, so it's not an easy job. Anyhow, I got it done.

Here's the start to finish...

So now that's done.

I'm installing a few more new cupboard door and cabinet catches today, because some of them are worn and we had some doors fly open on our last trip. And then we're done!

Hopefully tomorrow we can get Igor's exhaust brackets repaired, and then on Wednesday we can head out on our month long trip to the state of Veracruz! Thursday at the latest!

    1. Thank you! We are very happy with the look and Kevin is glad that the majority of the work is behind him now. We still have to put in the floor trim but I think that will wait until we come back from our month away in Igor.

  2. Wow it looks fantastic! That subfloor was pretty disgusting. Is there an oven/stovetop?
