Meeting with friends

Our time in Ottawa always goes by quickly, but we're enjoying it while we're here. Still, we'll be ready to leave when our time is up in two and a half more weeks!

The weather has been great, although the mornings are getting chilly. Supposed to go down to 5C (41F) tonight!

And we're enjoying our daily mornings at the gym. Walking there, we go by a house whose backyard opens to the path that we take. They've made it into a beautiful garden...

Selfie at the gym!

We really love going to this gym. Their busy times are 5:30am to 8:30am, and the same in the evening. So when we get there, usually around 10:15am, the place is dead quiet and we can use all the equipment as soon as we're ready to.

We've been catching up with some friends, but still a few more to go.

Kevin, Ruth, and fellow traveler Monique.

Monique is on her way to Europe on Monday, and then to Albania.

And Ruth went for lunch with some girls that she used to work with at First Choice Haircutters forty or so years ago!

Maureen, Judith, Ruth, Mecki, Roberta.

And, we go to visit my mother twice a week or so. We keep forgetting to get a photo!

    1. It is very nice. I always like getting together with these ladies and I have more to meet up with yet.

His mom does enjoy our visits. We would stop by more but she is often busy with her activitives there, so we let her tell us when a good time to visit her is..

  2. Those sunflowers! Mine are long past prime, just dead ugly things on top of their stalks, though they were pretty in early August here in NC. Glad you're having a good time in Canada, and an empty gym is perfect!

    1. There are tons of sunflowers still, especially in this area because there are a lot of garden allotments in the field across from this house and it seems most of the allotments grow a few sunflowers. I am not sure that they will good today though as we woke up to frost this morning.

We are enjoying our visit and meeting up with friends and family. We are glad that we are able to go to the gym during their non-busy times, I don't think we would enjoy it so much if it was busy every time we went.
