I took our ATV up to a nearby maderaria (lumberyard) and the guy there gave me enough scraps for 100 pesos ($7.60 CAD, $5.60 USD) to be able to do the job.
So, the subfloor is now done, and the cabinet could now be reinstalled.
However... we have decided to paint the cabinet. Much easier to do that while it's out.
Can't stand waking up to this every day.
I think we'll move back to Canada..
But, the paint store is closed today so that part will have to wait. Besides, today is Sunday so it's market day! Looking forward to tacos for lunch!
In other news, we had ordered some more wall photos from the online store that prints them from your own digital photos. Here are the ones we got done...
I guess we won't be going to the market and tacos for lunch! Just found out that the road into town is closed until noon due to a power pole incident (we also have no power this morning) and even if we went in after that there would be a long lineup.
Our road into town is closed this morning!

We actually have the pictures already and they are up on the walls but we haven't taken a picture of the pictures yet, we want to get the upstairs bedroom painted first before we do that as well as finishing up the kitchen which is almost there. My favourite is the fisherman with the pelican and Kevin's is the paragliders over Valle de Bravo.
DeleteFirst we need to get the work on Igor finished!
AWESOME photos - will look so great on the wall. We just got back from Merida and have to remind friends that the news they hear of constant danger is just so much choreographed fake news.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are already up on the walls but we won't take a photo of them until we have the room finished. We still have some touch ups to do and some painting. The kitchen is also almost ready, just a couple of finishing touches.
DeleteWe agree on the hyped up media with the issues that happened a few weeks ago but that was mostly all centered around Puerto Vallarta and a couple of other areas, for the rest of the country it was life as usual. People forget how big Mexico is!
I agree with Sue, the butterflies
ReplyDeleteI like that picture too but my favourite is the fisherman with the pelican and Kevin's is the paragliders over Valle de Bravo.
