A lot of packages showing up today!

We had done some looking around town for beds and bedding, but it ended up there was a lot more selection and better pricing buying through Amazon Mexico.

So we ended up ordering a bunch of stuff, most of which will be delivered today.

We got everything queen sized for the downstairs bedroom. With a 12" memory foam mattress, steel bed frame, headboard, mattress protector, pillows, pillow protectors, sheets, pillow cases, and comforter... for a total of 8,800 pesos ($671 CAD, $479 USD).

We think that was pretty good considering everything gets delivered right to the door.

The mattress won't show up until November 4th though, so photos will have to wait.

But in the meantime...

I was busy painting.

The wall repairs and painting is now all done in that room.

The carpenter is coming at 2:00pm this afternoon along with our friend Fernando to help with translating if necessary. Hopefully we can get that work started.

We are going to take the ATV for a drive about 7 kms down to the dam this morning to see if the water has breached the top of the dam. The water level in the lake is the highest it's been for several years after being really low last year. How quickly things can change!

And, we had our third Spanish lesson of the week...

Things are going really well, and we are definitely learning... but sometimes it makes my head hurt!

And in Canada...

  1. Hahaha, it does hurt the brain to learn new languages. Perhaps we can learn right along with you if you can translate for us. Maybe I should google it...you think? So fun!

    1. We think it is harder to learn a new language when you are older but it is good to work the brain and to keep pushing ourselves.

Yes, you could use google translate the translate the words the Kevin takes pictures of. That is how we learn in different countries when we travel.

  2. That sounds like a good deal on the bedroom set up. Especially being delivered to your door.

    1. We think so but Kevin really had to look for the deals and to make sure that we were getting decent items as well, not just actual cheap quality stuff.
