So today we will drive down the mountain and into the big city of Oaxaca, We'll stay at a nice campground there for two or three nights and get Igor ready for six months of storage.
Igor will be staying at a secure covered storage facility on the outskirts of the city. The price is a very reasonable 850 pesos ($66 CAD, $48 USD) per month.
Then we will take a bus back to Mexico City on Saturday or Sunday morning, and then another bus to Valle de Bravo later in the day.
Another doggie friend.
We decided to leave Igor here in Oaxaca City so that we didn't have to drive all the way back to Valle de Bravo now, and then all the way back down here again in October. The bus is reasonably cheap, and this way we can start directly from here on our journey next winter into Central America. Finally!
There are a lot of horses here!
You can see where Igor is parked.
There are cows as well.
Ruth, trying to be the cow whisperer.
Cute little one!
So, a great way to end our trip around Veracruz and into Oaxaca, with sunny blue skies, decent temperatures, and beautiful scenery!
The city of Oaxaca will be warmer at lower elevation. Calling for highs of 31C (88F) and overnight lows of 15C (60F).
