We're just not beach people!

We've been on the coast a total of six days... but we're ready to head inland!

Our legs are covered in bug bites. A few from mosquitoes, but mostly no-see-ums. They're the ones that bite you but the itchy bumps don't show up until two days later.

The temperature hasn't been too hot, but when it's 31C (88F) every single day, it's difficult to get any exercise in.

Yesterday, I gave Igor a major bath, including the roof. There is good water pressure here, and Igor was in the shade. I can't imagine if I had to do it in full sun.

Then a nap in the afternoon.

Didn't take any photos all day.

I had another email from the mine site confirming our visit on Wednesday. The VP of Exploration is going to be our host for the day. The mine is sending a company vehicle to pick us up at 7:30am on Wednesday morning for the 45 minute drive to the site. Then we'll have a meet and greet and a tour of the mine. Lunch and snacks will be provided as well as personal safety gear. Then they'll take us back to Igor by around 2:00pm. It should be really interesting... we're excited!

We are headed out at 9:00am this morning to spend the day with our long time Canadian friends Dave and Maggie who are renting a condo here in Ixtapa for a month, We're going to pick them up in Igor, and drive into Zihuatanejo

  2. No see ums, they'll keep us away. I remember them well. You can go out during sunrise and sunset and that's about it. They sell special rv screens and net suits. Why bother. JMHO

    1. We hate noseeums, we almost think they are worse than mosquitos! I think you mean that you CAN'T go out anytime around dawn or dusk, that is when they are at their worst. We shut the van up tight at dusk because of that. We had ordered a screen for Igor's door but it never arrived which was frustrating, that was back before we even arrived in Valle de Bravo in October.
