One section of this trail has been made accessible by the parks ATV's. This bothers us, and we have lowered the trail's rating by 1.0 point because of it. Probably a fairly busy trail in the summer.
Our overnight spot near Mineral del Chico, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Where are Kevin and Ruth now? Mineral del Chico, Hidalgo, Mexico.
Where are Kevin and Ruth going next? Back to Valle de Bravo at the end of the month.

Jack Pine Trail
This 2.3 km (1.4 mile) trail loops through one of the few jack pine forests in the park. There are some interpretive signs along the trail. Again, not a bad trail, but nothing special. A couple of view points make it interesting. However, we give this trail a 5.0 out of 10.
