Time to move on... but we didn't get very far!

We planned a 10:00am start because we knew we weren't going very far. First planned stop was a town about 50 minutes north towards Xalapa.

We were going to have a look around and then decide if we would stay for the traditional Monday market. It's supposed to be quite the local event. But we didn't have to decide, because Igor decided for us!

Great stay at the Dos Tierras Campground. Christian and his family are such nice people. We'll be sure to recommend this spot to others and we look forward to a return visit at some point in time!

We know we're in Veracruz!
Veracruz is a big producer of pineapples.

We arrived in Coscomatepec and as we were entering town I noticed that Igor's brakes didn't feel quite right. Igor has experienced this before, and it felt exactly like he had a brake fluid leak. We already knew that the local Bodega Aurrera (owned by Walmart) has a big enough parking lot and we knew that they allow you to park overnight so that's where we headed.

Got parked up, and I noticed a few drops of fluid at the right rear wheel. This is the same brake line that was repaired last year when we were in Valle de Juarez, so not sure yet if it's related or maybe a wheel cylinder. Either way, we're not going anywhere until it's fixed, and there are no mechanics open on Sunday. So that made the decision for us.

We walked into the center to have a look around.

Cocsomatepec is another Pueblo Magico.

It has a big church for a town of 15,000 people.

We wandered around town for a bit.

Scenery along the way.

Nice mosaic mural.

Igor's camping spot for the night!

There's a mechanic shop two minutes up the road, but they don't open until 9:00am, so that's our first stop. Hopefully they can do it right away, and while they're working we'll go to the local Monday market. From reading about it, it's supposed to be really popular with lots of specialized local food so we plan to have breakfast there!
