I think today will be a day of rest!

We were due for some exercise, so we set off walking directly from the motorhome aire and into Sierra Espuna Regional Park.

Not much in the way of actual marked trails, but I saw a circular route on the map that looked like it might be a trail. Most of it turned out to be a gravel road, but we did almost 14 kms (9 miles) and never saw a vehicle.

So it was just fine.

We did manage one section on an actual trail.

Starting to get a view.

The rest of the time we were on this gravel road.

Scenery along the way.

Farm ruins.

Beautiful views.

Almost 14 kms (9 miles) and we didn't see a vehicle the whole time. And we saw a total of nine other people. And we never took a break! Ruth had brought some snacks, and at one point I found a spot to sit down and I did so for about thirty seconds. Ruth didn't think it looked comfortable enough so we kept walking looking for somewhere better. But we never did end up sitting down again.

Heading back to the motorhome aire, some of the people who had been there the night before had left, and a few new ones had shown up.

Almost back at Max. We think those are almond trees on the left.

Max, waiting for us patiently.

This is a brand new aire. The sites are spacious and marked off by greenery. Many aires are simply parking lots with no marked off spaces and people tend to park too close to each other for our liking. This one is really well designed.

Max, and three other vans.

The other three have Spanish license plates, but there were two German rigs here the night before. Later on in the evening, another three vans pulled in so Max has a neighbor now.

I think today might be a day of rest!
