RPC Day 3... Picnic Lunch in the Pines

Day 3 here at Red Pine Camp. Sadie wasn't feeling well in the morning. Probably a combination of two late nights in a row, plus too much candy from the tuck shop the day before!

After breakfast, Cameron was off to Junior Program and we hardly saw him all day. At 8 years old, and with a few different friends to play with, it's not tough to keep him busy around here.

Ruth and I went down to the dock, and Ruth decided to try out one of their fancy new stand up paddle boards.

They took Cameron out on a sailboat.

Ruth did well on the stand up paddle board.

Lunch time was BBQ outside in the pine grove...

Line up for lunch.

Cameron, getting some food.

It's tough trying to feed 300 people all at once and have the food warm and good. Red Pine Camp is expensive, and one of our gripes with the place has always been the quality of the food. Overall, I think the buffet dinner on Friday night was really good, but the rest of the meals were mediocre at best. Still, we never left the table hungry, so at least there is that.

By after lunch, Sadie was feeling better, and back to her old self for the rest of the day.

Sat and talked to some friends in the afternoon, and while we were doing that my sister and her son showed up! We had no idea they were coming, so it was a nice surprise. It turned out that she was dropping her son off at school in Pembroke, and so this is only a half hour detour. They spent a couple of hours here and then went on their way.

We had a game of shuffleboard with them.

So, camp is shutting down for the season this morning. People are packing up and heading home, although we are staying for the lunch time meal. Our daughter's van is all packed up and ready to hit the road right after lunch. Have to get the kids back home for the first day of school tomorrow!

Record low price on the Instant Pot Duo 60 6 Qt 7-in-1 Red, Teal, or White versions.

And in Canada...

Nice price drop on the Black and Decker Max Lithium Vacuum. This is the one we use in the motorhome. Works great!
