Gorgeous Day at the Park

Wow, the weather has really taken a turn...for the better! Feels like the middle of summer now, and we're the only ones here. I think we should have extended the camping season by a week or two! I actually feel bad that we're not open for people to camp this weekend.

What a change from a week ago when we thought summer was over.  Have a look at the forecast...wow!

Sunny days...

And for those of you who are metrically challenged...

Perfect. And there was hardly any wind either so the lake was calm as can be...

I woke up this morning to another one of those ridiculous airfare deals that comes up every now and again. Mexico City to Santiago, Chile...for $130 return!!! Couldn't figure out a way to take advantage of it this year, but that's the kind of deal we'll be looking for at this time next year. We're thinking maybe South America will be on the radar for the winter of 2015-2016.

And, two weeks from today we'll be sitting on a six hour bus ride to Calgary, Alberta and the next morning flying to Seoul, South Korea. Getting more excited every day!

But today, we're off to the big city of Swift Current to do our weekly grocery shopping and running around. Not much to do really, but it gets us out and about for a bit.

Hope you have a great day!

Don't forget to do any of your Amazon.com shopping through our links here... www.amazon.com and once you click through just shop as you normally would. You pay the same price anyhow, and we get a small commission!

Our son Alex is in Rome, Italy just now and sent this photo taken this morning...

    1. Thank you Paul and Marsha. Isn't it fun to see other people's pictures of places you have been, it always brings back memories for us. We look forward to one day seeing the places Alex will have visited on this trip.

  3. So nice your son is following in your travel bug footsteps. Looks like a great time for a canoe with that nice warm calm water.

    1. One of the things we are going to implement next spring is to get some rental canoes and/or kayaks here at the park!

    1. I don't mind the hot temperatures providing there isn't lots of humidity to go along with it. It sure bets wintertime temperatures in that area but you will be further south by then I would expect. Hope you have some nice comfortable temps for the weekend.
