The campers have arrived...

And the campground will be busy now until the end of Labor Day weekend in September!

We actually like it when it's busier. There's always something to do, even if it's just wandering around and talking to the campers and making sure everybody's having a good time.

Not as many young people this long weekend as there had been the long weekend in May.  Although one group showed up late last night. I remembered them, they had been here at the beginning of June and were a good group. They did a lot of partying then, but kept to themselves and didn't bother anybody with loud music or noise. I remember telling them they were welcome back any time.

But, lots of families, and lots of young children. Really have to watch for people driving too fast through the campground...kids zipping around on bicycles coming out of everywhere! Don't need any accidents, that's for sure.

I think our water level has peaked. It may have gone up a hair yesterday, but the rate of rise has slowed. Thinking today might be the highest it gets.

Pic taken this morning.

Pic taken June 8. Notice the 3 posts sticking up out of the water! And, we've already pulled the main dock in quite a bit. If we hadn't, it would be well under water.

Oh, there's another exciting thing going on here at Travel with Kevin and Ruth!

We're hosting another giveaway!

Our facebook fans got a heads up yesterday, but we'll be reminding you here as well over the next couple of days.

Here's what's going to happen...

We normally put up our daily blog post at travelwithkevinandruth.com between 9:00am and 11:00am eastern time.

This coming Tuesday July 2, the first 10 people to comment on our blog (not on facebook, has to be on the blog post itself!) will each be winners.

No, we're not telling you the prize yet! But you can be located anywhere in the world to participate and it's something that we think everybody will be able to use!

How fun is that??!

So, watch our website on Tuesday morning our time and be ready to win. If you're located in a different time zone you better figure out how this relates to you. Only the first 10 people to leave a comment will win, so maybe you want to practice leaving a comment on our blog to make sure you do it right the first time on Tuesday!

We love being able to give back to our readers, and this time 10 of you get to win!

    1. Yep, we don't get why everyone has to be in such a rush especially when you are camping.

    1. There are a couple of interesting ones up in the overflow section. We will try to remember and get a picture of them. Lots of very old ones here.

  4. Sounds like you are looking forward to the crowds. I hope they all behave themselves. With your people skills this is really a great job for you. We got a break from the rain so far today. I sure wish it would go on off shore or better yet blow out west where they really need it. Glad to see your water going down at least a bit.

    1. It doesn't matter what time zone we are in, Kevin said that he would post the blog some time between 9 and 11am EST so you just need to figure out what your time is from that which I belive is between 6 and 8am Pacific time.
