We said goodbye to Helen and Tony on Sunday. Had a good week with them, and Harvey seemed to enjoy the doggy company too. In fact he seems a little out of sorts since they left, but otherwise doing fine.
Kevin, Ruth, Tony, and Helen. Oh, and Harvey with the funny eyes. He's never far away if there's food to be had!
There's a small pond up on the common, and up until Sunday it had started to dry up. Harvey loves the water and he had been going into the pond just to get wet, but it was to the point where it was mostly mud. Not any more though...
It's muddy looking, but at least it's full!
Doesn't matter because there's lots of other water for Harvey to splash around in.
And lots of mud on the trails.
We've not been very lucky with some of the movies we've watched lately, so we've decided to go with an old standby...we're going to have our own personal James Bond festival! So starting tonight, we're going to watch every one of the James Bond series of movies...onscreen tonight is the original Dr. No, with Sean Connery and Ursula Andress. There is lots of good world travel scenes in the Bond movies. Dr. No takes place in Jamaica!
Sean Connery and Ursula Andress.
Sean Connery is now 82, and Ursula Andress turned 76 this year!
The common sure looks very muddy!! Go careful there Ruth, no slipping!
ReplyDeleteI am sure Harvey is enjoying all the water, weather is supposed to be getting better again! Enjoy the bond movies.
Thanks guys for a great week with you, Chester is missing his walks on the common.
Yep, it is pretty muddy. Haven't got '3ft of air yet'! Harvey is loving the water, he runs straight for it and then lies right down, he's in his glory. Harvey is missing Chester, he figured he better chase the sheep for Chester yesterday. Guess we will have to put him on the lead now when there are sheep around.
DeleteRain days and good old movies, love the James Bond series and like you said the scenery is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteCould do without the rain, it doesn't make for nice hiking!
DeleteSean Connery was the best Bond IMHO.
ReplyDeleteI think I agree, although Daniel Craig is pretty good too.
DeleteDid you have the rubber boots in your backpack too?
ReplyDeleteLol...nope! But we are house sitting, and they said we were welcome to use whatever we needed to.
DeleteThe common is very nice. (I don't even know what a common is) but it does look common, the commonest, in fact very commonly. :)
ReplyDeleteThe common is a great place for walking Harvey. BTW, a common area is just common ground that everyone can use.
