Heading across the pond...

Well, here we are at Toronto's Pearson airport, waiting for our Sunwing flight to London's Gatwick airport. And, yes, they have FREE wi-fi throughout Terminal 1...assuming it is the same in the other terminals as well.

Had to check our bags. Sunwing has a strict 5kg weight limit for your one carry on item. So we took Ruth's little laptop out and sent our bags off into the great abyss of airline checked luggage ...hopefully we will see them again!

So all we have is the clothes on our backs, the little laptop, the camera, our wallets, and our passports. Oh, and a water bottle that we took through security empty so that we could refill it from the water fountain. You don't want to be paying $2-$3 for a little bottle of water!

Waiting for our flight...see you in London!

  6. Ah! Free wifi. That's great.
Seems to me once upon a time it was so much a minute, but it's nice to see the Toronto Airport Authority has been dragged kicking and screaming into the New Age.
I kind of wondered about Sunwing and their baggage issues.
This is why I travel with the little "man bag" (no pun intended) since I once had to check a bag that was 'carry on' when I went, but was then suddenly too big on the return trip. ?? Forgot that my apartment keys were in there! Had they lost my luggage, I would have been screwed. Those keys are now in with the rest of the "essentials".

Hope your flight is/was just fine.
