Piedra de Tlacoyunque

We left our spot near "el Centro" in Zihuatanejo early yesterday, but pulled in to the huge Commercial Mexicana store to do a grocery shop. Deal of the day? An imported bottle of Scotch for 90 pesos ($6.93). I love Mexico.

We only drove about 100 kms to a protected turtle sanctuary beach that we had boondocked at twice before. The last time was only last February, so we didn't really bother taking any more pictures of Sherman parked up. You can see those pictures here...http://www.travelwithkevinandruth.com/2011/02/piedra-de-tlacoyunque.html.

But the last two times there hasn't been anybody around. This time, there were a lot of Mexican families fishing. Not sure why they weren't there before, but this time it was busy!

Lots of families fishing.

I saw this fishing boat coming along that looked like it was going to cross as soon as the sun hit the horizon.

And it did! What a cool photo...looks like the fishing boat is in a bubble!

We left early this morning, and have already driven 40 kms or so. Only another 90 kms to Acapulco Trailer Park where we will spend three days. Daughter Lindsey and grandson Cameron arrive tomorrow!

    Howdy R&K,
I LIKED THE OTHER HEADER!! But this one is spooky; looks like the Flyin' Dutchman, the old 'ghost ship'!! Are all 15 year olds that pretty?? Ruth should have gotten her a job as an extra in the movie; just looking gorgeous!!!
You can get more $10 parking places than anyone I know!!
    Ol' Toothy was probably Mama-gator!
Good thing you didn't find a little one struggling to hatch; she may have taken offense!!
$7 for how big a bottle of Scotch?

  20. We are always marveling at the travel you are doing in a motorhome with some of the narrow and cobblestoned streets that we encountered in Mexico. We love your blog and look forward to reading about your next adventure.

  21. Who's in the Roadtrek parked in front in the photo? Not Doug and Kathy by chance?
