Warming up, but still raining

Went for a walk yesterday morning in the farmers field across the road, then we went over to Lindsey and Justins.

We were supposed to be baby sitting this afternoon because Lindsey had a dentist appointment, but instead Lindsey and Ruth went out and took Cameron with them, leaving Whiskey and myself behind. They did some shopping as well.

Cameron, sleeping like a baby!

Whiskey and Cameron

We’ve been on the hunt for maple syrup and they found some old stock in Walmart that was down to $7.97 for a 540 ml can. We like the darker stuff, and this is number 1 medium, which is a step lighter than what we wanted but it’s still good maple syrup. This was a great price so we bought four cans, and Lindsey bought one too.

Again, it rained on and off all day and so our batteries are starting to get low. Fortunately it’s also been warmer, so we don’t need to use the furnace as much.

This morning, we’re off to see another couchsurfer who has offered a parking spot for Sherman. They’re up in the forest on a mountain about 20 minutes from here and have 50 acres of land with a lot of hiking trails, so it sounds really nice.

In the meantime, we’re planning our next excursion. Ruth is flying back to Ottawa to visit her Dad for the last two weeks of May, so early next week we’re going to take Sherman down to the Lunenburg and Bridgewater area and do some exploring for a week or ten days.

Maybe something like this…

Our next tour....210 kms (130 miles). Just the right distance for a ten day tour!
