Hacienda Contreras (day 9)

It was another beautiful blue sky day. We have had pretty much perfect weather for over three months now, and we just don’t get tired of that at all. We never left the campground today, instead we enjoying our final day here just puttering around.

The sky was so clear today that our solar panels were actually pumping 15.0 amps into the batteries, and I actually saw it hit 15.1 amps at one point. It’s usually between 13.5 and 14.3 when the sun has been at it’s highest point this past week. We have three 80 watt panels on the roof, and usually a single 80 watt panel will generate about 4.7 amps under ideal conditions, so to see 15.0 amps out of the three panels was pretty good!

I finished washing Sherman and cleaned all the windows as well. He’s happy, and ready to go first thing Monday morning.

We took a walk around the campground and snapped a few pictures. We like it here at Hacienda Contreras and we will plan for more than 9 days next year!

Then in the evening, we went up to the clubhouse where Barb and Sal and Millie were watching the Acadamy Awards . We watched a couple of hours of it but we found the show to be a little tacky and we left after the best supporting actor award had been given out. Besides, we have lots of driving to do, and we want to set off fairly early Monday morning.

  3. Sam and Donna...We really enjoyed ourselves here. Barb and Sal are wonderful people who go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time. Can't wait to come back again next year and see more stuff we didn't see this time around.
