Playa Tangolunda (Huatulco, day 2)

We are probably boring you with beach pictures, so we’ll try not to post as many. However, we are at the beach. We took a couple from our walk this morning. Aw, what the heck, we might as well show one more to you…!

Afterwards, I got up on the roof and cleaned the salt, dust and sand off of the solar panels. Then, I cleaned the dust off the bikes, and went for a little bike ride to look for some orange juice. You’d really think this wouldn’t be a problem down here, but we have been to one large grocery store, and three small corner stores and have yet to find any orange juice. If you’re going to make a rum punch, orange juice is one of the primary ingredients!

This is the golf course on one side of our parking area.

This is the expensive resort on the other side of our parking area.

We had steak for dinner. Four nice sized rib steaks for 150 pesos ($12.50)

Played lots of backgammon with Alex, and Ruth played quite a few games of cribbage with him.

There are no job openings here for a weatherman. The sky will be blue every day. The temperature will be a high of 30C (86F) during the day, and a low of 20C (68F) at night. It does not rain here during the winter months. No weather forecasting required.

  1. Great price on the steaks, we have a little country meat market that puts four filets in a package for $19.95. Not all the time but maybe once a month. You won't tire me of beach pictures, I like the water and the beach.Give Whiskey a pet from all of us. Be safe out there. Sam & Donna...

  2. Great photos, I still enjoy the beach pictures. A couple of comments, I see Kevin that you have the “top down”, maybe a hat is required? Also, I see “Cribbage”, it’s a good thing we didn’t know you guys played, or we might have missed some of our hiking back in Kentucky. It’s funny, but even at this hour (just after 0700), my son John (who is visiting) and Ellie are having a hot game of Cribbage already. There is already much “trash” talk.

  4. Sam and Donna...$19.95 is still a pretty good price for steak as long as they are good. You can always stock up for the month until the next special. Ours were good, but not great. The ones in San Miguel for my birthday were much better. Whiskey says thanks for the pet and to say hi to Saddie and Rigg's for her.

John and Ellen...I agree with you about Kevin's hat. He needs a new one, the one he has is too tight. If he is out in the sun for any lenght of time he will wear it. Too bad about missing out on the cribbage back in Kentucky. Next time we will know better. Enjoy your time with your son.

WBY...Life is good! Sorry you're not able to get out and enjoy it yet, soon I am sure.

ps...we have some half decent internet so maybe we can start catching up on everyone's blogs.
