Playa La Entrega (Huatulco, day 5)

We looked out the back window this morning to see the sunrise, and were surprised by a huge cruise ship backing into the bay. The boat was the Norwegian Star and it was on a Panama Canal cruise from Los Angeles to Tampa.

I spent the morning on the internet playing with the stock market, while Ruth and Alex went for a walk with Whiskey and then sat and played a few games of cribbage.

You can see Sherman parked up between the little hotel, and the lighthouse

While on the internet, I used skype to call Continental Airlines to try and fix Alex’s flight. Spent about 20 minutes on hold and then a very friendly lady came on and fixed our problem. It cost $160 to change his flight which had been leaving from Acapulco, so that he can now leave from Huatulco. This is MUCH more convenient and I was simply not thinking when I originally booked his flight back in late October. It’s also a better flight schedule and he doesn’t have to overnight in Houston airport. Oh, and he gets an extra day with us! So it’s all confirmed and he leaves on Tuesday afternoon instead of Monday afternoon.

There’s a beach nearby that you can only access by foot or by boat, so we all walked over there and Alex and Ruth did a little more snorkelling. The tide was in though, and the water was a little rough. For some reason, we neglected to get pictures, but we’ll walk back down there again at some point over the next couple of days.

The sunset tonight wasn’t one of the better ones, but we still managed a decent picture. I expect the sun will set again tomorrow night.

Watched “Inception” with Leonardo de Caprio. A complicated movie, and one that we will have to watch again, I think.
